Medication Review

JIP0035441How you take your medication and how you manage your medical conditions affect your overall health and how you feel. A pharmacist will talk to you about the best approach for you. Book a private appointment for a medication review.

Note: If you have a valid Alberta Health Care card at your appointment, there are no fees for you to pay.

During a medication review we will go over :

  • Your health conditions and the medications you take.
  • Information about your health conditions.
  • The correct way to take your medications.
  • Any issues with your medications.
  • Changes to your health plan and medications if needed.
  • Your questions.
  • The need for follow-up.

You should have a medication review if you:

  • Want to quit smoking.
  • Have diabetes and take at least one prescription medication.
  • Have at least one chronic illness and take at least three different prescription medications.
  • Have at least two chronic illnesses.
  • Have at least one chronic illness and at least one risk factor.   

     Chronic illnesses:

  • High blood pressure
  • Diabetes (type 1 or type 2)
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Asthma
  • Heart failure
  • Heart disease

     Risk factors:

  • Obesity
  • Addictions
  • Tobacco use
  • Mental illness
